Hello my dearest Rodney,
it’s been a minute since I’ve written. Your birthday came and went, I said nothing publicly, and you know you were with me and I with you. It’s how we roll now.
On this day in 1983, we were officially married, recognized by the state of Kentucky, USA where we were both born, lived and had our being in our early years before our international life was born. Like all young couples, we had dreams including growing old together. We made it for 37 years, but then the “together” part made a big change on 29 Sep 2018. These 2 dates remain engraved on my heart..when we were married (the happiest day of my life) and when you passed away (the saddest day of my life). Can’t change that.
Our wedding day was a simple family affaire in Western KY, in our friends home, and the music of Aaron Copeland and Vangelis accompanying our vows. Everything was done by our family and friends..my mom made my wedding dress; the cake, catering, photos, decorations..all done by friends. Our wedding photos from that day are somewhere in storage, thankfully a few were scanned and now on my phone.

Fast forward to 2018. We…you more than me, knew that the cancer had advanced. You organized a photography session in China of us together..what a wonderful gift that I treasure so much. We had many clothes changes that day! Today, I only show a few of a 2018 version of “wedding” pics. You always treated me like your princess Rodney. Sure do miss that!

So I wish you a happy heavenly anniversary Rodney. You will always be the love of my life…always. You remain right behind my eyes. I remain eternally yours,
Love
sarah
